Julie Husband

Julie Husband offers eighteen years of experience in architecture, urban design and related fields. She has worked for Winter & Company for the past fifteen years on design guidelines, design review, urban design, historic preservation, and architectural rehabilitation projects.

Julie worked with John Dickinson on several deaf schools during the years he directed the Winter & Company Special Needs Studio, most notably on the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf.  The team met with teachers and administrators to help program their spaces and to address the circulation systems issues the school faced.

Early in her career she also worked with an architectural firm whose focus was designing and rehabilitating educational facilities. She has experience programming and enhancing spaces in historic buildings and with asbestos mitigation.

She also has worked on various Historic Structural Assessments for the State of Colorado. These  include the Colorado Executive Mansion, Asbury Church, and the Dickinson Carnegie Library, Denver, CO; United Methodist Church of Hygiene, CO; and in Boulder, CO, The Academy retirement community and Washington School.
