Per the direction of the West Virginia Board of Education and the West Virginia School building Authority, the West Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind has undertaken the task creating a Comprehensive Educational Facility Plan (CEFP).
Dickinson + Partners combined forces with ZMM Architects & Engineers on this project. The team engaged a large design advisory group comprised of the two academic director of the program, both principals, teachers, members of the local school district, community members, and local city officials to build consensus on the goals, priorities and strategies that would drive the long-term plans. The goals identified by the group included planning for physical facility growth that would better serve the students, support expanded programming, and address budget for future-phased projects.
Project Highlights:

• Responded to many questions that State of West Virginia had for the Deaf and Blind Educational future needs.
